Oslo Tragedy - A Poem
A Poem for the Oslo Tragedy
Terror rears its ugly face everywhere it seems
Whether home grown or from the outside, it shocks and saddens no matter where one lives and what flag holds ones allegiance.
I am writing this the day after the bombing in downtown Oslo and the incessant senseless shootings at the island youth camp.
When I Heard of Oslo
When I heard of Oslo, the bile rose in my throat
As the numbers exploded, it didn't matter the exact quote
On this day after the madness what can one say
To the shocked and hurting people of Norway
As one of their land
With weapons in hand
Attacked where they led a peaceful life
Going about their business, a husband; a wife
Then on to a camp of mere children protected only by tents
Who came to be slaughtered under his police pretense
Motive clear only in a warped and twisted mind
Another crazy way that insanity is defined
On a Day of Terror in Oslo
Please Pray for the Families and the People of Norway
